Stove/range openings

I am a Stone (http://g603.net) installer and (http://maplered.com) I have a customer that is not happy with the gaps on both sides of her range. When we put the tops in the installers pushed the top tight too the wall. They did not check the opening. I sent a guy back to adjust the opening. We are now over the cabinet on both end. This is where it was templated to. She wants the Stone (http://g603.net) tight to the range. She got angry at me and (http://maplered.com) said that the installers should have checked the specs and (http://maplered.com) that her range is 29 7/8. I asked her to give me the specs and (http://maplered.com) she said the range is supposed to be a 30" and (http://maplered.com) the opening for the tops is 30 1/4. I am at 30 3/16. Clearly withing her "specs". Am I in the wrong by wanting her to pay for the replacement piece. If the range was centered we would have 3/32" on each side.
